Priceless Connections
Connecting with people is more important than ever, especially in a time where moral leadership is lacking. I devote time to meeting new people and developing impactful, lasting connections.
“Her initiative is bar none which makes her the person you can ALWAYS count on to drive to a win”
“To me, a team is made up of people who all have each other’s backs, drive to the same goal, do whatever it takes to get there AND has fun while doing it. Jen embodies the ideal. She’s the glue that holds us together. She does everything in her power to ensure the team succeeds. Whether she is presenting at a meeting, writing an RFP response or creating a customized presentation, she takes tasks on as a mission. She uses her creative thinking, interpersonal skills (she knows EVERYONE), initiative and magical ways to make things happen. She can always be counted on. Her initiative is bar none which makes her the person you can ALWAYS count on to drive to a win. She gets it. I feel incredibly fortunate to have Jen on our team and will be at a loss as to how to replace her when the time comes. I know that Jen will one day run the company and will have gotten there by having earned the respect of all of those who have had the opportunity to work with her.”
— Laurie Roth, Vice President, Co-brand Business Development, Mastercard
“Developing customized solutions to meet partners needs”
Jen is the embodiment of personal excellence. Having worked with her for the past year, I have seen her drive innovations and change within our team to enable short term wins and ensure long term competitive advantages. She knows how to deploy technologies to make presentations more dynamic and she’s got an incredible design aesthetic. At times, she’s even replaced professional agencies as the “go to” for design. She personally managed multiple projects in parallel all while developing customized solutions to meet partners needs and with strong outcomes for our company. Internally, she builds deep, long standing relationships and leverages these relationships to inform or enhance any project she’s working on and make it the best it can be. When Jen makes a commitment, I know she will over perform and she dedicates her full self to ensuring she delivers the best output. Finally, while still building her own career, Jen has shown incredible promise as a people leader through direct and indirect leadership and mentorship. I’ve had the extreme pleasure of leading Jen since 2017.
— Ashley McGrail, Director, Co-brand Business Development, Mastercard
“Jen is a cultivator of relationships”
Having worked for me in the past and having known Jen for 5 years the best way I can describe her is that she’s thinker who is execution oriented and has capacity well beyond what her tenure would suggest which is why developmentally she’s well beyond her peers both inside and outside of Mastercard. More importantly Jen is a cultivator of relationships, skills and knowledge which enables her success, regardless of the job or who she works with. She quickly and easily absorbs her surrounding environment, self-directs her learning, builds strong relationships and operates with a strong personal and corporate value system. Her evolution over the time I’ve known her has amazed me and I’m hopeful that at some point I’ll have another opportunity to work closely with her as a part of my team, or me as a part of hers.
— Les Matthews, Senior Vice President, Issuer Account Management, North America, Mastercard
“She has challenged me to think differently.”
I have enjoyed being a part of Jennifer’s journey at Mastercard. From the start it has been quite clear that she is a very thoughtful individual with clear goals and objectives driving her personal and career development. She is passionate about what she does but remains open-minded and is able to clearly articulate her thinking – our discussions are always interesting and have, on occasions, challenged me to think differently. This is something I have also heard from others and many speak highly of her maturity and ability to engage at all levels within the organization. Jennifer is continually looking for ways to enhance her value to the company and the Innovation Scholars program has been on her radar for quite a while - I think she would be an excellent addition to the program.
— Anthony Hayes, Vice President, Products and Innovation, Mastercard
“Jen has brought the ability to listen deeply and quickly turn information into strategic planning”
I have worked with Jen in the capacity of Director of Programs at the non-profit where Jen is co-chair of the Advisory Board for the past two years. From my first interactions through today, Jen has brought the ability to listen deeply and quickly turn information into strategic planning - resulting in the implementation of a variety of successful Mastercard volunteer days and Advisory Board fundraising events. She has been an immense support and valuable contributor who has the ability to effectively bring diverse groups of people together for a common cause and unified solutions to problems. I personally have benefited in learning a tremendous amount on how to communicate information effectively to stakeholders and lead teams through Jen's leadership.
— Alex Holt, Director of Programs, Madison Strategies Group
“Jennifer embodies the principles of Mastercard – doing well by doing good”
I have known Jennifer on both a professional and personal level for several years – working with her as she generously shares her time and talents to extend the values of the WLN Purchase Chapter as chapter co-lead, as well as seeing her navigate deal complexities when deep in the throes of competitive RFP pitch scenarios for the NAM co-brand team. She is smart, creative, connected, highly effective, intuitive, influential, and authentic to the core. I have been asked many times to provide recommendations in my 25+ years with Mastercard – and I feel a real sense of purpose to communicate to the review team not only how valuable Jennifer is to Mastercard but how valuable it would be to have Jennifer participate in the Cornell program. She is unquestionably capable of not only extracting as much value from the program, but also bringing as much of that value back into Mastercard and cultivating it throughout her network and within her work. Jennifer embodies the principles of Mastercard – doing well by doing good – and she possess all the wonderful skills of a young and promising leader.
— Margaret Shine, Senior Vice President, Retail and Commerce, Advisors Data and Services, Mastercard
“Jen’s passion for using technology both in business and in everyday life is evident”
It has been my distinct pleasure to work with Jen over the past 5 years in various capacities - initially, when she interned with the Co-brand team in the US, subsequently when she was part of the office of the President in NAM and most recently as part of the NAM Co-brand team. Over the past 5 years I have seen Jen grow to become a much valued business partner at Mastercard. Jen brings together both the “what” (focused on problem solving, bringing creativity and good business judgement in addition to a strong understanding of the context) and the “how” (strong emotional intelligence, thoughtfulness, terrific interpersonal skills) to her job. Jen’s strong moral compass combined with the Mastercard values that she lives daily, makes her a fantastic collaborator. Jen’s passion for using technology both in business and in everyday life is evident whether it be using the Cava app to order lunch or working on a cool payments demo to integrate in to an RFP response for a customer. Jen’s combination of both the hard and soft skills needed for innovation points to her being a clear choice for the Innovation Scholarship. Jen has tremendous potential to become a great leader at Mastercard and as a company, we would benefit immensely by having her attend the Innovation Scholars program at Cornell.
— Sonali Desai, Vice President, Sales Excellence, Market Insights, Mastercard
“The more impressive aspect of Jen is her focus to also help other people grow”
I have had the pleasure of working with Jen since the summer of 2012, and watched her grow her career from an intern to an established Mastercard young leader. Personal and professional development is always top of mind for Jen, and it was a pleasure to graduate the Moral Leadership Fellowship along her side. The more impressive aspect of Jen is her focus to also help other people grow, whether that is through mentorship or formal volunteering, she lives and breathes doing well by doing good.
— Victor Nordenson, Director, Account Management, Mastercard
“Her energy and tenacity is boundless”
I have had the unique opportunity to work with Jen both professionally at Mastercard and through her extensive volunteer experience (WLN, YoPros and Madison Strategies) and during that time Jen was a pleasure to work with. She is thoughtful, creative and a visionary; and completely unfazed by punishing deadlines or the depth of the requisite analyses. Jen is a core asset to our team. Her energy and tenacity is boundless, and her desire to succeed personally and for the team has resulted in many important business wins. Jen thinks strategically about business development and lays out a thoughtful plan that is inclusive of all parties; she then executes against the plan and adjusts accordingly. She has fostered excellent business relationships across our company, partners and client base. I strongly recommend Jen for this program.
— Mark Savoy, Vice President, Product Management, Mastercard
“She’s not afraid to take the reins”
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jennifer for almost two years on a host of Co-brand pitches in the retail vertical. She is poised and well spoken, with a creative style and a strong business sense. Her hands-on approach is commendable, and she’s not afraid to ‘take the reins’, often conceiving and delivering technology-driven components that map really well into our pitch proposals (that are also quite well-received on the merchant side)
Jennifer can always be counted on to deliver, and for her that means above and beyond what is typically required. And, she’s got a fabulous attitude and an upbeat personality to boot.
— Heidi Meyer-Abadinksy, Vice President, Merchant Account Management, Mastercard
